The Bloodhound Supersonic Car just completed its first public test, reaching 210 mph in eight seconds on a 1.7-mile airport runway in England.
Its powered by an engine usually found on combat aircraft, which gave it a 54,000-thrust horsepower.
Thats equal to the combined output of at least 360 family cars. Eventually, a rocket engine will be attached to the car, with the goal of smashing the current land speed record of 763 mph to hit the 1,000 mph milestone.

A Swedish hypercar has set a world record for the fastest ever road-legal car after averaging a staggering 278 miles per hour.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS set the landmark speed on a closed public road in Nevada.
Factory test driver Niklas Lilja got behind the wheel of the 1,380 horsepower hypercar for the daredevil attempt.
Video released by Racelogic, which recorded the speed, shows the Koenigsegg appearing to cruise up to 200 miles per hour before Lilja unleashes its full potential.
He gets into top gear at 220 miles per hour and ends up reaching a top speed of 284 miles per hour.

The world's first road car: F5 is set to become the fastest production car (300MPH) of all time
Thanks. But why a street legal car should be able to do 300mph, or even 100, is beyond me.
