Look a little deeper into it. Not as simple as that. The problem with landlords (Irish ones) demanding crops and cattle for rent had to be stopped.
And what is happening now is cultural, à la Marx/Engels and all the Fabians that infected Ireland with their thinking.

I read a book a few years back - “How the Irish Saved Civilization.” Fascinating look at a culture tinged by the spirit of Saint Patrick (not really a saint) and his single-minded ability to unite the Irish. Great insight on how Patrick (I can’t pronounce the Gealic name_ help foster a culture that would go on to record European history through the art of writing for posterity
