MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Police are investigating a videotaped altercation where an apparently intoxicated University of Miami football fan slaps an officer, who then punches her in the head.

IDK about a payday, but if convicted of felony battery as a 30 year old nurse she should get fired from her job.
Her mugshot up-thread shows that her face appears unmarked, let alone “broke into pieces.” He popped her good but she seems fine. On the one hand, I wouldn’t have smacked her like the cop did. But at the same time I can’t really condemn him for doing so. Nobody is entitled to physically attack someone and not expect a return.

As for no one is entitled....I dont subscribe to that thinking. I would never strike a woman regardless.
I think cops have a duty to use force when appropriate and I dont think that was it.

The cop disabled the threat in the fastest, least harmful way possible, he knocked her out. Good job

And how much of an assault should an LEO take before making it clear that it is a dangerous thing to do - for all he knew she was the distraction to open the door for someone to do worse....anyone who attacks a cop needs to be crushed to send a message that it will not be tolerated.
