Nope.
I know some retired automotive engineers that live in condos at M1 Concourse. They race every day on the private track there, perfect place to live with a 300mph car.
Wouldn’t that be incredible? There was a community being planned in southern Cal a couple years ago that had it’s own big race track. I don’t know if that ever went ahead. Can’t find it in Google.
My great grandfather used to breed harness horses and race at the local track. But that was only 1 HP.
Had...as in past tense?
Did you drive it ? :)
We courted in the California mountains/foothills. I had a Fiat Spyder and I could get him on the curves, but he’d get me on the straightaways. Why we’re both still alive I have no idea. Young, stupid and lucky.
We brought both cars to NY and MA, but the roads were dreadful for the Corvette. Tight turns and hills and you couldn’t see past the hood. It had a very tight throw to the shift knob that was really fun to use. Drove me crazy going between the shift patterns on the two cars.
But we’re old and both grateful to be driving automatic now. Well, grateful that we can drive something that doesn’t hurt our knees. But I do remember and sometimes just wish...
mAssholes are bat sh!t crazy drivers but they know what they are doing.
Neither can I but I don’t feel it necessary to insult those who can
Daytona would be a perfect place to build a racetrack living community. Those guys I know are super happy at M1 except for the cold. The residents all live and breathe cars together enjoying a wonderfully entertaining retired life.
One of them is.
Yep. Stealing lefts from any lane, stealing rights from the left lane, the fade and many others they had named for their bad driving.
great story!
They need one.
Right side turn signal.
Always on.
Yep - had a few “hot rods” in my day and seldom got to “open them up” other than short rubber burning noisy sprints which were really unsatisfying ..... still like a bit more oomph than I really need but that’s because I’m a male who is still above ground...
