A three-and-a-half-year personal journey took him to Colorado, where he flipped pizzas and worked as a ski lift operator, according to the New York Times. He then moved back to his home state, where he worked as a janitor for commercial cleaning company Jan-Pro in Dallas.

Well, it seems they may have downplayed it sadly because as someone surmised, they might have omitted it intentionally because the story goes against the “white privilege” meme. Only black people are aggrieved or sumthin’
