For a short time Thursday evening, Twitter appeared to lose one of its most avid users: The page for the @realDonaldTrump account displayed an error message.
Twitter's standard error message, "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!" appeared in place of President Donald Trump's personal Twitter feed. A short time later, the account page reappeared and seemed to be functioning as normal.
According to NBC News, the White House had no immediate comment. In May 2009, Trump, then a private businessman, sent his first tweet promoting a forthcoming appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, the BBC reported.
I got that about an hour ago when I got home. Very scary.
Sounds like he either deleted it or twitter did...and then resurrected it
Maybe Kelly had a 30 second delay built into it to try to head off twitter trouble.
He needs gab.ai.
Just saw this on twitter:
@TwitterGov
Earlier today @realdonaldtrumps account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee. The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.
LOL!
Yeah right...error
I wonder if the Twitter employee will be fired.
I would fire him/her.
How much did Twitter stock drop while Trumps page was down?
Exactly.
Yeah I wonder that too. Imagine if that had happened to Obama’s twitter while he was president.
Under Obama the employee will be fired and maybe killed.
Under a President Hillary Clinton, the employee will be killed in his cube immediately.
Lolol
Twitter’s practicing and doing software testing/validation for potential future changes.
I certainly hope the White House has a couple of back-up Social Media options ready to go, i.e., other platforms or different accounts.
