This Thanksgiving, I will definitely be making my own cranberry sauce from scratch. As a diabetic, I can’t countenance bringing home the sugar-laden commercial stuff in a can.
Williamsburg peanut soup and Rockefeller oyster stuffing. I can make changes to anyything on the menu as long as I have these two things on the table.

I can attest, that curried fruit is wonderful. My sister added maraschino cherries.
I cooked Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner for about 10 years. Now that I’ve put my too small house on the market with plans to move back full time to Manhattan, I’ve given up completely and eat in nice restaurants!!
I’ve been making the same side dishes for Thanksgiving and Christmas for forty years. While my family would be okay with me ADDING to the menu, if I took AWAY any of the sides, they would be aghast.
