It depends on how rural and if dirt roads etc
My kids ride in the back of our pickups off interstate and we’re semi rural
They also ride running board up our 400 yard dirt driveway
Boys
I don’t think she deserves jail time unless she drove down the hwy at 70 like that
It is a dumb idea
Me and our dogs rode the 100 miles to deer camp in the back of the truck
Imagine
Our black man James who was my hunting companion instructor when I was young rode up front with dad
I’d cuddle with th dogs behind the cab when it was cold
Hwy 80

The kid was strapped on.
What’s the fuss? Romney strapped his dog on top of the car, and conservatives voted for him, reluctantly.

“Seemed like a good idea at the time!!”
Our dad used to haul all manner of things on the car roof, but never thought to put one of us kids on top of whatever.

I don’t see the harm done, if she used a couple three taut-line hitches, and kept the ropes clear of his chest and belly when she snugged em up.
