George Clooney's "Suburbicon" didn’t just struggle at the box office. It sank. The film this weekend became one of Paramount Pictures' worst performing wide-releases ever, and it marked a new box office low for Clooney as a director and for star Matt Damon.

Clooney has nerve to make a movie about white racists. He’s the one who is surrounded by walls to keep out undesirables & he won’t send his kids to public schools to mingle with non-elites.
We saw Dunkirk too & enjoyed it. Other than that, we took the grandkids to a few animated movies this summer. There is a privately owned historic theater near us that is beautifully restored & shows movies after they leave the multiplex. $3

Apparently, it was Schumacher’s idea to subtly (like a sledgehammer) make Corey Haim’s character gay in The Lost Boys: the Rob Lowe poster on a teenage boy’s wall; the “Born to Shop” t-shirt. I could throw in his failure to appreciate Jami Gertz, but maybe that was more because she was half-vampire.

Update on FreeRepublic Favorite George Clooney.
Just saw a piece where Clooney will be directing and Starring in a new adaptation of Joseph Heller’s iconic book, “Catch 22”.
Paramount TV is producing but they do not have a outlet let to show it. My guess is that it will end up on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon as it will be a 6 part series.
Chalk up another Bomb in the making Clooney, no doubt he will screw this up Big Time.
Clooney will play Col. Cathcart, no doubt he will cast most of his Ocean 11 cast mates in some of the roles. Who would Matt Damon play???????
