News outlets from around the globe are furiously combing through the files in search of more pieces to the puzzling death of President John F. Kennedy.
President Trump released the remaining documents this weekend.
One of the recent documents shows Democrat President Lyndon Johnson was a KKK member.

If I were a judge and you were an attorney in my court, I would state that your language seems crafted in a way inclined to paint the klan out of the picture. In contrast with what we all know was a vast prevalence of klan membership and influence in the democrat party.
Always was, always will be. Anything else is a lie.
If you were a good judge, even without my pointing it out, you would look at the core statement here: “One of the recent documents shows Democrat President Lyndon Johnson was a KKK member.”
Upon review, you would see the documents make no such proof, only that some unnamed guy said some unnamed guy said the Klan could prove LBJ had been a member.
That is far from proof.
For example, if I published a paper that said some guy told me that some guy said the DNC said your were really an Anfifa member, would you consider that proof?
I think I would note there’s a difference between “shows” and “proves,” and would maintain, possibly keeping it to myself, a curiosity about your inclinations.
Words have meanings. When one says that a document “shows” or “Proves” something, and it does not, it is a false statement, it’s as simple as that.
The fact that you challenge the claim that Carter had meetings and made deals with klansmen strongly implies that you agree it’s an indictment of democrat politicians if they did this.
I challenge nothing, and your thoughts come from your inference, not my implication.
I simply ask, if you want it to be an accepted fact that Jimmy Carter met with and made deals with Kluckers, and therefore we should make future decisions regarding our feelings about and knowledge of Carter with that as an accepted fact, then where is at least some element of proof of the “fact?”
When one makes an accusation such as this, against an American President, one should never do so without proof to back it up. When accusations are made, without proof, it diminishes the believeablity of any of one’s other statements.
Personally, I can easily see Jimmah as a Klucker, but I’d need proof before I made such an accusation, as anyone should.
Old legal saw: “When one makes an accusation that one cannot prove in court, they are then often asked to.”
Good point.
Given LBJ's bigoted statements he made when he was trying to get the Civil Rights bill passed it is certainly possible and wouldn't surprise me.
That Johnson used words people used back then shouldn't surprise anybody, especially if he was using that language to make a point, but it would astound millions of people if the president who got civil rights legislation through Congress had been a KKK member.
Definitely. One would think there would be some way to find out conclusively if LBJ was in the KKK. It's not so much about exposing LBJ but further exposing the Democrat party.
You seemed to do so in post # 56.
I think you said you’re a lawyer, which I appreciate very much for a few reasons. One is I tend to like lawyers. I know that might sound strange, but I do. Especially if they’re smart and honest.
You’re right, there’s a reason facts should be established in a conversation like this.
Well said
Be well
LBJ's a hero to progressives... is that a hoot or what?
More proof in 2020...
My High School history teacher was the daughter of the Sheriff who was best friends of LBJ. She stated that the entire social circle around LBJ were die-hard KKK members.
I knew a guy who's father was a Mississippi sheriff, democrat, and member of the White Citizens Council back in the 50'w and 60's...
Democrats have re-written history... ALL KKK and White Citizen's Council members - all the horrible real racists - were democrats. And most of the Press too.
I have no idea how democrats have so successfully hood winked black citizens of our time.
They offered welfare which hooked too many Blacks.
“I have no idea how democrats have so successfully hood winked black citizens of our time.”
Simple. LBJ said it: Welfare. Give them money and they won’t question a things.
