College football: Florida and coach Jim McElwain part ways

Florida and coach Jim McElwain have agreed to part ways a day after a third consecutive loss and nearly a week after he said his players and their families had received death threats. Athletic director Scott Stricklin made the announcement Sunday and named defensive coordinator Randy Shannon the team's interim coach for the final four games.

Just like Rich Rod at Michigan, McElwain never fit it at Gainesville. The funny irony is Randy Shannon an alumni of the U now is the interm head coach. Go 'Canes!!! Back up the truck and bring in Chip Kelly. Bring the Fun 'n Gun back.
