Apparently, that applies to foreigners, as well - which I find hard to accept.

Does this code no where reference foreigners, and how they are expected / required to act?

Foreigners are free to leave the country if they can’t show respect for the flag or anthem. It’s just common courtesy.

I just learned of it yesterday and it was passed as a law (with no penalty(s) in 2012

That's all I know.

Why, however, would you even consider it a topic of conversation for Americans living in Zambia being required to pay obeisance to THAT country ?

What do you think “all others present” means?

Foregners must STFU and observe the National Anthem of the country they are standing in.

Being an independent sovereign nation still actually means something.

“all other persons” seems very clear. “All other persons.” No exceptions.
