What do you think “all others present” means?

Foregners must STFU and observe the National Anthem of the country they are standing in.

Being an independent sovereign nation still actually means something.

So does being an independent sovereign individual.

Indeed, in this case, individual Liberty completely trump's such patently unconstitutional law.

Laws mandating standing at attention for the playing of the national anthem—indeed, any laws along these lines which attempt to dictate individual behavior—are blatantly unconstitutonal, and most members of this community should be well aware of why that's the case.

While such laws might "feel good" to some, in reality they are overtly Tyrannical. The State (the government) has no right or power to mandate such individual behavior, whether from its citizens or from foreign visitors.

America is not a nation where such arbitrary law can exist, no matter how good it might make some people feel to boss others around.

Thus, individuals are free to disregard such arbitrary law, and then deal with the consequences in their community, market places, etc.

Yes, respectfully observe. But I, as an American, would actually find it distasteful if a foreigner placed his hand over his heart - which the Code cited apparently requires.

Standing in silence would be appropriate - not placing the hand over the heart - and I can't believe that the Code requires that.

Regards,
