Almost 140 men, including a Houston police officer, found out too late that the new management were actually undercover vice officers operating the massage parlor that had been a well-known underground brothel in the past. Dozens of men including two attorneys, a teacher and the police officer, were arrested earlier this month during a 10-day sting, law officials announced Thursday... Acevedo said the undercover police charged the average rate in Houston of $60 as a door fee and $120 for sex acts... there are 250 to 520 illicit massage parlors operating in Houston at any given time, Acevedo said.

Looking at that sorry group, it's no wonder they have to pay for it.
“Senior pastor for the First Haitian Community Church, Ermonte Moliere was among the 140 men who were arrested during a prostitution sting by the Houston Police Department.”
How many of these good upstanding men of the community are illegals or need their visas yanked?
And they still won’t name or run a picture of the cop...but they will with everyone else.
The libertarian in me says prostitution should be legal.
Looks like someone didn’t get the memo!
Generally there is a reason for hiring someone rather than a one night stand from a bar.
Beer goggles only go so far.
Appearance, hygiene, personality, age differential, looking for an unusual service, or some sort of consequences if caught.
Yep...most telling.
Sexual activity you can walk away from if you are married or living in mom’s basement with no pesky phone calls or texts from the side chick.
Houston Chronicle runs mug shots of the ‘girls’ working in them when HPD Vice make their busts. They’re usually middle aged Asians and look pretty rough.
So if you’re walking into a Houston parlor and they look too good to be real...
How many hookers were arrested?
No, see, just like everything else related to male/female sexual activity....women are incapable of being anything other than a “victim”!
Just like blacks cannot be racists...
So, they look like the Julia Roberts of today, not the Julia Roberts of the movie Pretty Woman?
I’ll massage myself thanks! I mean, I’ll ...never mind.
More here.
The police busted a massage parlor in Houston called 7 Star and reopened it as a police operation called 8 Star.
Not sure how many Asian hookers they busted at 7 Star.
About every other week the Houston Chronicle does a story on a busted massage parlor and uses it for their slide show of mug shots with rough looking hookers and customers.
“The libertarian in me says prostitution should be legal.”
Politics is legal so why shouldn’t prostitution?
Good point!
Dang...
Well, the hookers probably are pretty happy about it. Free healthcare, and glamour shots, advertisements...
And now the Johns know who’s legit or not!
“women are incapable of being anything other than a ‘victim’”
There was a dungeon and restraints at this house of prostitution.
Most of the time, prostitutes, male and female, are victims.
Men have an advantage over women when it comes to strength, and this results in men controlling prostitution businesses. There are no kind-hearted pimps. Men who are chivalrous do not allow the women they are protective over to remain in prostitution.
Rape is also a crime committed primarily by men.
Men are mostly the victims of mail order brides. And that too, is a sex crime.
Police say the dungeon and restraints were for the hookers.
It's more believable that they were for the customers.
And yet there is this-
A blueprint provided at Thursday’s press conference showed a floor plan that included makeshift sleeping quarters and a “dungeon” with shackles, apparently to keep women against their will when it was a working bordello.
“These women are not engaging in prostitution because they want to,” Acevedo said. “They’re doing it because they’re being coerced.”
