Free Republic without useless vanity posts? One can only dream.
MLB and the Players were politically correct. The SSB was played and the singer did a great rendition. The NFL could have learned some lessons from MLB.
I want Vin Scully.
MBL had the anthem and had God Bless America for the stretch.
They got he message.
Also a good business move.
Astros fan here (in Houston). Go ‘Stros!
Your ace is up tonight. Should be a great game.
Dodgers pitching will win. It’s approaching Koufax Drysdale.
But their batting ain’t so bad either.
Kershaw was amazing. 11k’s and no walks. If you liked great pitching last night was a classic. 9 hits combined over 9 innings. No wonder it was a short game.
I set my dvr for 4 hours. I fall asleep midway most of the time just because of EST time difference. So when I went back to it this morning, I had to keep backing up. Didnt get to the game ‘til the 2:42 mark, iirc. Then had to back up anither hour to get where I’d left off.
The bearded picked up where he left off with the cubs.
The putz catcher for Oakland (the only MLB player kneeling for the anthem) went back home to Alabama and encountered a Trump-supporting patriotic waiter in a restaurant who refused to serve him.
He has been out whining on social media ever since. The irony totally escapes him that injecting political protest into his job is OK for HIM but not for the waiter.
The Wild Card in the whole thing will be the Astros’ Charlie Morton. He looked like Koufax or Drysdale in Game 7 of the ALCS. Not the guy who was scuffling along in Pittsburgh for a few years.
I guess they’re saving it for game 7. Haha!! (in the best spirit of course.)
WOO HOO!!!!
Darvish out in 2nd!
Yep, hard to believe.
Well, when your breaking ball doesn’t break...
