Forgive the vanity, but I heard Flake say in an interview the path to the nomination for a "Republican" is very narrow. Could he or will he run as a Democrat?

He is a pig. He will run third-party to deny Republicans the senate seat, if you can. I’ve been predicting that for months because he sure wasn’t getting the Republican nomination.

If he’s polling at around 18% then he’d probably lose even if he ran unopposed.

The reason he’s retiring is he can’t win as a Repub in a Red state. Switching to a Dem would get even worse. That’s why he was tearing up. He thinks he’s a principled Republican, but that’s just establishment for RINO. McCain is under the same delusion.

Eventually, Flake may jump over to the other side, but I doubt if he does so this close to Election Season.
The memories of him as a long standing republican are still too fresh. Jeff would have some of the same credibility problems as Megyn Kelly staging “impromptu” dance parties on her Morning Show.

I think he has to define his “very narrow path”.....

He could run as a Rat, but the Rats hate him in Arizona also.
Unless he lands some very lucrative DC lobbyist job, he’s completely screwed. He’s finished here in Arizona.

Flake or Corker will try something to hammer Trump or maybe both. Ind or Dim either may throw the elections to the (D) side.
