The Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-2 and have a two-game cushion atop the AFC North.
Imagine if they weren’t having tons of locker room drama.
Steelers reporter Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that receiver Martavis Bryant is a no-show to the team’s facility, skipping out on mandatory Monday meetings. One teammate told Bouchette that Bryant had “called in sick.”
Bryant had one catch for 3 yards in Pittsburgh’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday; he had one other target, a deep pass attempt.
This is the latest episode from Bryant, a fourth-round pick in 2014. On Sunday night, he trashed rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster on Instagram; when a commenter wrote to Bryant, “JuJu’s better,” Bryant wrote back, “Juju is no where near better than me fool all they need to do is give me what I want and y’all can have JuJu and who ever else.”
The comment has since been deleted.

Did the circus have character and IQ standards for it’s freakshows, clowns, and acrobats?
The NFL isn’t just a freakshow, though, there is a lot of financial pressure to demonstrate success on the field. You take the people who you think give you the best shot, regardless of character.
Also, not to digress, but I suspect there are a lot of decent guys in the NFL. But to borrow a term made notorious recently, it’s the empty barrels that make the most noise

When he was playing for the USC Trojans, JuJu Smith-Schuster had 213 catches for nearly two miles and 25 touchdowns. Bruins, Cougars, Domers and Cal Commies saw nothing comical about him.
5-2, not bad. I’ll have to break out my Villanueva jersey.
