You know what the real harm is when people boycott the NFL? The veil falls from the eyes of former fans, and the game appears to be insufferably boring & contrived if they try to watch even a few minutes.

Case in point: we got back from an extended out of town trip. I was a bit tired, and after doing some clean-up chores, sat down and thought I'd flip between a few games. Boy, nothing has changed. Boring & stupid, and after a few plays, cut to commercials. Same old high concept advertisements acting like nothing has changed.

I couldn't take more than a few minutes of this nonsense and then turned off the TV. The NFL is definitely living in a bubble. They took a great game that took tremendous physical & mental discipline to succeed, and created a stupid, frivolous entertainment product geared completely towards selling advertising.

That's the ultimately reveal that will be made even after the American hating exercise is a thing of the past.
