For Pete’s sake. Is there no common sense, anywhere?

Why does ANY prosecutor hide/protect ANY key witness in ANY case?

People have gone so far off the rails on this stuff they forget basic legal procedures.

Both sides are probably having extensive strategy meetings to discuss how they can get out of this.

I think they know that they have gone down the wrong road by trying to use a special counsel to create a crime serious enough to injure the President.

Now they have become aware to the fact that public sentiment is growing and they all know that the crime and corruption in D.C. runs so deep they cannot let this onion get peeled away.

If they convene a grand jury start calling witnesses who have lawyered up, one of them is bound to break down and trade immunity for spilling the beans. As soon as that witness drops some names, more will come forward to save their own asses and once the cards begin to fall the whole establishment house could crumble. If there was justice, half the beltway could go to jail.
