Head-to-toe camouflage proved an inadequate disguise for two pig hunters attempting to cross a crocodile infested creek in Australia's Northern Territory.
Alarming helmet camera footage shows the armed duo trudging through shallow water before a monster croc comes charging towards them from just metres away.
As the giant animal bounds closer to the men, one can be heard yelling 'croc, croc, croc' while the other makes a swift dash away from the water.
The hunter filming the event then unleashes fire on the huge reptile, aiming his shots directly towards the crocodile's head.

Crocodiles are much more aggressive — and larger — than alligators. Caimans are usually a bit smaller but more aggressive.

I wonder if crocs are good eating like gators?

Like anything else, put enough hot sauce on it and it’ll be fine.

Largest alligators ever recorded were a little under 16 foot long and weighed about 1000 pounds. Largest crocodiles ever recorded topped 20 feet and weighed over 2000 pounds.
Either of them come anywhere near me, I’m not stopping to quibble over a few feet or even 1000 pounds :)

I’ve never tried it, but I’m told it’s pretty good - like a slightly fishy pork, and pretty tender.

In his book: Trader Horn Being the Life and Works of Alfred Aloysius Horn, from 1927,Horn writes: "The crocodiles grow to a tremendous size and I measured some of them especially one who often could be seen on the long sand bank near Adonimango. From the tip of his tailmark on the sand to his nose he easily measured over 33 feet, was olive green in colour..." By the way Trader Horn is a great book and are fairly cheap on Ebay.

I wouldn’t call alligators cute and cuddly, but American crocodiles can reach lengths of 20 ft, weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
Woof!

If you ever have some free time search "safarilive" on youtube.Live webcasts from National Parks in Kenya and South Africa. If you're lucky you get to see Nile Crocodiles catch, and then rip to shreds,a wildebeest or a zebra trying to cross a river.
