.......Some treat their birds like pets, kissing or snuggling them and letting them walk around the house.

A little common sense goes a long way.......

In a nation of over three hundred million people there are one thousand cases of salmonella with one death.

Talk about making a molehill out of a dust speck...

Must be a “all the news favors Trump day.

Locally raised chickens are much better for you. They eat bugs and worms and fertilize the grass. And we also have a Geesestopo of eight geese, who march around doing a perfect goosestep, eat bugs, and scare potential burglars away.

When I was a kid, the neighbor paid me to keep his chicken coop clean. To this day, I have a dislike of live chickens and am not that big a fan of the meat. I also took care of his calves when he had them but didn’t particularly mind that.

Chickens are so stupid that they will defecate and turn around and eat their own feces.

The underlying tone is that people are basically too stupid to raise chickens and practice basic farm hygiene. So to remedy that, you need to buy your poultry and eggs from a respected producer that, as an industry, belongs to one of the largest employers of illegal mexican labor in the US. Every concern article eventually orbits through liberalland.

Part time farming is risky business...as in part-time many things (like working on houses, as I have my share of close calls to attest to).

Never did like to eat yard eggs or yard chickens. The chickens could get underneath the outhouse and would eat the feces from the donors. The chickens in the chicken house were fair game as they were isolated and didn’t get into the stuff the free rangers did.

When we raise our chicks we would put 1 Tbsp of bleach in one gallon of water, heat up a couple of cups in microwave, submerge eggs in for 30 seconds.

“Since January, more than 1,100 people have contracted salmonella poisoning from chickens and ducks in 48 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Almost 250 were hospitalized and one person died. The toll was four times higher than in 2015.”

Almost .03% of the population sickened and .0000003% death rate. Call the CDC. Let’s outlaw poultry!

Slow news day doesn’t even come close. Someone got paid to write this and our government is paying for this propaganda. Chicken Little is alive and well.

From: state news.

Chickens are raised all over the world, with little or no problems ever. Until you get the state and a bunch of idiots that get chickens for the first time with no guidance, in the US.........

Lets not go into raw milk, a world wide epidemic with no issues except in the US.

Reminds me of the story of the Louisiana governor who stopped for lunch.
The restaurant owner saw it was the governor and said he would prepare him the house specialty, beef tongue!

The governor says...”I ain’t gonna eat anything that came out of the mouth of a cow! Fry me a couple of eggs!”
