If that is the case why does he talk at every opportunity about targeting those states that have legalized marijuana?

I think the major problem is that people had such high expectations with him being appointed AG and he seems to be doing little to nothing, I for one am disappointed in what I've seen from him thus far, but I optimistically pray that what you say is the reality. In other words I want to give him the benefit of doubt, even though I have serious doubts about him. I think it may be the Comey effect, as he was suppose to be a man of honor. We all learned that was far from the reality. Once you get burned you start second guessing others, especially those you thought would have come in and turned the place upside down, only to see no discernible change whatsoever.

>>I’d rather see AG Sessions and FBI Director McCabe take their time than rush into any botched prosecutions. That’s not to say Sessions (or any of us, for that matter) is perfect, but I believe in letting him do his job as he sees fit and not listen to clueless naysayers.
**********************************************************
When questioned by Judge Jeanine, Chaffitz stated he personally went to see Sessions to ask him to pursue HRC investigation/charges and was told it was NOT something he was inclined to do.

I think it was around this point Chaffitz was so disgusted with D.C., he left the Swamp.

Common sense tells me that if Sessions is not pursuing the crimes committed in the Obama administration and Sessions remains the AG, then Sessions is simply following orders from Trump. Can’t be any other way.

Excellent point.

They want instant gratification

Four days from now will be the 9 month anniversary of President Trump's inauguration. What has Sessions done since then?

A Statist, when what America really needed was a Patriot Bulldog that would smash the Elitist Establishment infrastructure and re-instate the personal liberty of The Forgotten Man.

If Trump was really on his game, he could “help” Sessions hire 10 conservative bulldog assistants to get to work on draining the swamp of the DOJ.

And fire that RosenKrantz weasel supporter.

In my former profession, we were told that if we even suspected child abuse, and did not report it, we could lose our professional license. I view this in the same way.

As AG, he knows there is more than ample evidence, but deliberately chooses not to pursue it. That is aiding and abetting crime. He should lose his AG position, and more.

I have been wondering about this. Many people here thought a very great deal of Sessions when his name first came up as a Trump supporter during the campaign.

I’m not ready to give up on him. We don’t really know what’s going on. Trump isn’t one to show his cards, and it seems to me that anyone sincerely working with him wouldn’t either.

I think he is being legally advised not to put his hands any where near the DOJ, which is so sad.

He should also hire however many people he needs to, to go through ALL the Depts and fire ALL Obama holdovers. I understand there are thousands of them. I don’t understand why he doesn’t do this either.

Attorney General Thanks Police and Prosecutors

July 30, 2017 - the U.S. Department of Justice has announced that, following the memorandum from Attorney General Sessions to prioritize firearm prosecutions, the number of defendants charged with unlawful possession of a firearm increased nearly 23 percent in the second quarter of 2017 (2,637) from the same time period in 2016 (2,149).

Attorney General Sessions Orders Tougher Drug Crime Prosecutions

Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered federal prosecutors this week to seek the maximum punishment for drug offenses, in one of the clearest breaks yet from the policies of the Justice Department under the Obama administration.

The move is an abrupt departure from policy made by President Barack Obama’s attorney general, to reduce the number of people convicted of certain lower-level drug crimes being given long jail terms.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Announces the Department of Justice’s Renewed Commitment to Criminal Immigration Enforcement

Attorney General Jeff Sessions today spoke to Customs and Border Protection personnel at the United States-Mexico border in Nogales, Arizona.

In his remarks, the Attorney General announced that he has issued the attached memo to United States Attorneys that mandates the prioritization of criminal immigration enforcement. The memo directs federal prosecutors to focus on particular offenses that, if aggressively charged and prosecuted, can help prevent and deter illegal immigration.

Additionally, the Attorney General revealed that the Department of Justice will add 50 more immigration judges to the bench this year and 75 next year. He also highlighted the Department’s plan to streamline its hiring of judges, reflecting the dire need to reduce the backlogs in our immigration courts.

Attorney General Sessions Directs Federal Prosecutors to Target Most Significant Violent Offenders

Attorney General Jeff Sessions today directed federal prosecutors nationwide to engage in a focused effort to investigate, prosecute and deter the most violent offenders.

This builds on the announcement last week of the creation of the U.S. Department of Justice Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, which is central to the Attorney General’s commitment to combatting illegal immigration and violent crime, such as drug trafficking, gang violence and gun crimes, and to restoring public safety to all of the nation’s communities.

“Turning back our nation’s recent rise in violent crime is a top priority for the Department of Justice, and it requires decisive action from our federal prosecutors,” said Attorney General Sessions. “I’m urging each of them to continue working closely with their counterparts at all levels, and to use every tool we have to put violent offenders behind bars and keep our citizens safe.”

He wasn’t AG when President Trump was inaugurated. He wasn’t sworn in until February 9th. And frankly, I don’t want to know what he’s done. It’s none of my business. For all we know, President Trump has told him not to advertise what’s going on at DOJ. If you’re not happy with him, drop a line to the President, and let him know. Me, I’m willing to take a wait and see attitude. 8 months isn’t long enough for me to say nothing is happening behind the scenes.

So he’s been AG for over 8 months? For defending the guy vehemently on FR you sure seem not very interested in what he’s been doing.

That’s funny. He made it a point to inform the public that he would NOT prosecute Hillary, Lynch, Comey or Abadin, just to name a few.

It is you who are blind sir.

Sessions has refused to go after real criminals, including Obama, Hillary, Podesta, Rice, Jarrett, Lynch, Clapper, Brennan, Powers, and Holder.

Yet, Sessions has allowed good and decent men to be hung out to dry.

Sessions did nothing when Mueller's team has engaged in Gestapo, no knock raids against people who have not been charged, arrested, or even accused.

He is a little worm of a man.

A cowardly, little worm.
