Gilberto Escaramilla was fired in August and arrested after authorities obtained a search warrant and found packages of the Tex-Mex food in his refrigerator. Investigators subsequently checked vendor invoices and determined he would intercept county-funded food deliveries and deliver them to his own customers. The scheme imploded when he missed work one day in August for a medical appointment and a delivery driver showed up with 800 pounds of fajitas, but officials said the juvenile department didn't serve fajitas.

It’s that Latino entrepreneur spirit we constantly hear about. They help themselves to “public funds,” because they are the public after all. It’s the Mexican mind at work.

Goes to show nobody is motivated to audit gov’t offices.

Its free money and there is no profit motive.

Eh, your joke falls flat. If you really don’t know what a fajita is, then how’d you get past the white lab coats to post on the internet?

I see you added the 'searchworks' keyword. While the search function indeed works, as you can see, once again the articles are from completely different sources. Please refrain from abusing the keyword functionality.

A fajita Spanish: [faˈxita] is a term found in Tex-Mex cuisine, commonly referring to any grilled meat usually served as a taco on a flour or corn tortilla. The term originally referred to the cut of beef used in the dish which is known as skirt steak. Popular meats today also include chicken, pork, shrimp, lamb, salmon, and all other cuts of beef, as well as vegetables instead of meat. In restaurants, the meat is usually cooked with onions and bell peppers. Popular condiments are shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, refried beans, and diced tomatoes. The northern Mexican variant of the dish name is Arrachera.

He pronounced the “j” as you would in English.
Too funny.
