As we all know modern technologies are moving forward at rapid-fire pace. Every day we use smartphones and laptops, get service from robots, AI is among us. Japan is no exception. On the contrary, this country probably is the most technologically advanced country. And the most fecally-challenged robot in the world was made in Japan. Why???? What is the purpose of having this functionality???

So I looked it up. The best answer I could come up with was here:

Dorodorobo Is Officially The Crappiest Robot Ever Made /

If you're asking yourself "why would anyone make something this?" there are many answers, including "because poo is funny", "because life is s#$t" and "because they can".

FWIW, this morning, I came across “Doro Wat”. Basically, a spicy Ethiopian chicken stew.

Was the public ‘demanding’ this? Is that public happy now?

I’ve heard both Japan and China conduct toilet exhibitions here and there. They have a different relationship with that bodily function than most Americans do.
Some things defy explanation. They simply are.

The simplest explanation is a high tech turd that leaves a trail of diarrhea is funny.

What the engineers didn’t predict is that their creation would symbolize every leftist politician and pundant on earth.

Reminds me when companies had R&D departments that didn’t have a specific product in mind, they just innovated.

That is how the tunneling effect was discovered which led to MRI.

Poorly written article as there is no explanation of why.
