Go Dodgers!!!
Yep, we got our final four.
The Astros vs. Yankees for the American League, and the Cubs vs. Dodgers for the National League.
Play ball.
Off topic a bit, but I hope they have good baseball weather throughout the playoffs. Game 7 of the World Series will be on November 1st, if it goes the full 7 games. The way baseball has pushed the playoffs later and later into the autumn, you roll the dice on whether you will have good baseball weather in most cities.
Astros up 2 - 0 in the bottom of the eighth. After being wrong on Cleveland - N I am reluctant to pick the ‘Stros, whom I think are the better team. But perhaps the Yankees Cinderella ride is going to end with Houston.
As for the NL.... who knows? Cubs showed they can find a way to win. And it’s hard to pick a team that had a huge in-season losing streak to win the championship.... that would be the Dodgers. Love Kershaw but his postseason record is .... abysmal.
On to the top of the ninth still 2 - 0 ‘Stros.
Altuve is a master of the game. Absolutely amazing talent. Definitely MVP material.
Astros in 4. Tomorrow’s game. Severino vs. Verlander, should be fun. Go Astros.
I’d rather see the Dodgers win the NL championship. I’m content to wait another 100 years before the Cubs go to the World Series again, just because Chicago SUCKS!!!
New York v. Houston
Los Angeles v. Chicago
what are the four largest cities in the USA (by population)?
New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston
Has this ever happened before in pro sports??? (the final four being exactly the 4 largest cities)..... I seriously doubt it!! (especially considering how little Chicago and Houston have been in final four in most pro sports. Until a couple of decades ago Philly was larger than Houston, but I doubt it happened then, either, as Philly wasn’t in final four often, either.
when did the Astros switch to the American league?
Haven’t watched or tracked baseball since ‘98
