If you watched the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football last night you would have seen the home turf teams Luke Kuechly exit the game in the second quarter due to a possible concussion. However, despite a potential move by the NFL to disallow protest by players during the national anthem, one thing you would have not seen on TNF on CBS and the NFL Network last night was the playing of the national anthem.

Good point. They should compare the ratings to 2 years ago.
“Pro football is a game played by, mainly, men of low character. Baseball and hockey would not put up with this many head cases, count on it.”
It’s been my experience, from hS thru college, that ‘smarts’ was a basketball thing...at least back then...Oh Boy, I’m going back 50+ years.....
I was watching “Sons of Anarchy”. Piney got whacked by Clay.
Thats photo shopped. I saw the iriginal
The Steelers are the worst cowards. Here in PA, where they had a marvelous fan base, many are turning against them. The VFW and American Legion halls are refusing to show their games on TV. The boycott is ongoing.
Why are they the worst? To date not a single Steeler player has kneeled. Thanks to their Obama loving coach, all except one stayed in a tunnel at the anthem. After that, not one has disrespected. Facts are facts.
Most games end in blowouts.
The NFL is the worst run league in sports.
Dixie Chicks - Shut up and Sing.
Hollywood Actors - Shut up and Act.
NFL Players - Shut up and get a Concussion.
I’m in favor of the boycott, but it seems to have stabilized for now. Everyone who is going to get angry has gotten angry, the rest will put up with whatever the players do.
So, the NFL is wounded, but not too badly so far.
Laughable. Hiding during the anthem is the same as kneeling, raising fists whatever. They didn’t stay in the locker room due to respect for the flag and anthem.
There was a football game last night?
Who is that basketball player?
Is that LeBron James?
The ratings declined last year so it is safe to assume the rating drop has been much greater compared to two years ago.
Could someone please tell me why anyone is watching at this point? Thanks.

Can all these high flying TV and NFL executives really be that dumb? First, they spent a couple of weeks seeking some middle ground that doesn’t exist on this issue: the locked arms foolishness, the hiding under their beds (in the tunnel), and silly combinations of standing and kneeling for a show of some unspecified “unity”.
Now, the genuises have decided to just not show the national anthem performance on TV. Yeah, that’ll solve everything and the fans will all just forget all about it.
smells like desperation to me...
they dont want to face the truth, and deal with it, so they opted to let the thing die a slow death.
the death timeline seems to be accelerating.
Soooooo....us poor slobs are supposed to be lectured to by wife-beaters, murderers, rapists, racists, homophobes and “men” who father multiple children out of wedlock?
Someone, maybe you, said the Cowboys have an 8-8 team.
It’s sure looking that way. And when Zeke is yanked, it just gets worse.
How has it stabilized? The TV audience for 2016 was down 8% from 2015, and it's down another 8% YTD this year comapard to 2016. So, that's down about 15% comparing now to 2015 when Kaepernick started this nonsense and the league did nothing to stop it.
And the trend has not stopped and no action is being taken to stop it. What they've done so far will only make it worse.
