Will the FBI ever admit that the Vegas massacre was the result of federal law enforcement posing as ISIS extremists to interdict Paddock, but that they lost control of the plan and the terrorist? It’s happened before (remember Fast and Furious?) It certainly would explain why Paddock planned, but never executed the attacks on at least 2 other music concerts prior to Vegas. His government handlers posing as ISIS managed to shut him down on those planned attacks by whatever excuse (not the right time or place for your martyrdom, brother?). Like coitus interruptus, it only served to enrage Paddock to not carry out those attacks. When it came time for Vegas, he may have decided not to be deterred again. Like a lot of other people, I don’t believe for a minute that he didn’t have help and that no one had foreknowledge of Paddock’s plans. I seem to be the only one, however, who thinks his “helpers” were the incompetent Feds who lost control of their target. I do wonder if Sheriff Lombardo suspected this, as well, when he said in one press briefing that he believed Paddock was the lone shooter, but not acting alone.
The Feds posing as ISIS is a common and ongoing tactic in the war on terror, but it’s a dangerous game. In this instance, I think they lost that game and are now doing everything they can to cover it up. I’m sure they feel justified doing so, covered by the excuse that they have other interdiction schemes ongoing that would be jeopardized if they were forthcoming about how they dropped the ball on Vegas.
Interesting. Personally, I do not feel that I have enough info at this time to make a guess one way or another on fed involvement. On one hand, it seems unlikely; however, the unlikely aspects of the case also seem to argue for the possibility of an unlikely but true explanation. I anticipate that there may be other unlikely but theoretically possible explanations.
One thing that troubles me is the rifle across SCP’s body after the “suicide.” How was SCP holding a rifle at the same time he was allegedly holding a handgun when he used the handgun to commit suicide?
I do not think we have enough information to conclude that SCP committed suicide at all.
OK... I guess SCP could have been a relatively ordinary though introverted nerd who one day was approached by the feds in need of a patsy. The feds convinced SCP to do some stuff such as shop for and/or buy some guns in public. The feds tell him it is dangerous duty and give him lots of money. Maybe or maybe not, he takes some money and maybe or maybe not wires it to his GF.
That is the last reasonably reliable (independent of LE) info we have on SCP, interspersed with guesswork supporting the patsy conjecture.
For the remainder, someone else does it, executing SCP (probably before the start of the concertgoer shootings) and leaves before LE arrives.
This would explain the lack of motive for SCP. If there is no big problem with it, then everything we are being bombarded with by LE and the media is so much BS and propaganda.
I’d like to call out the LV Sheriff and Undersheriff at this point and ask them why they are ignoring this scenario.
Of course, if your analysis was true, then the FakeNews media would have already been reporting Paddock was on the inside, saw things were getting out of hand, and simply seized the opportunity to spray wild gunfire into the public so nobody could cover it up any longer. It was his last ditch act in desperation to warn Amerika of the hidden crimes. Since it was dark, he didn’t know he was posing a threat to anybody. I am still uncertain about which if any organizations (fed or otherwise) are involved.
however, i can well imagine that the LV sheriff has to watch what he says because of insurance considerations. depending on how the attack was carried out, the insurance lawyers could claim that the hotel or some other party (security firm? LV police? etc) was negligent.
The insurance companies probably have a vested interest in pinning the mass murder down as a “lone nut” who acted alone so as to simplify legal ramifications. There is probably a small army of lawyers that are waiting to rip into lucrative retainers and settlements over this. The LV LE and feds are presumably well aware of this. Their natural inclination will be to limit evidence and even possibly to destroy evidence that does not fit an extremely simple scenario. Anything else creates additional, potentially more difficult work for them. At the high level, the hotel owners are no doubt pressuring LV LE for very simple answers that just happen to exhonerate the hotel. Multiple people involved probably creates a huge problem for the hotel in terms of negligence, culpability and insurance. Thus the #1 priority is to establish some guy (any guy) as the lone nut. Get the lone nut theory out there quickly (facts be damned), stick to it, ride it, die by it.
