A Cuban-American radio host and Irish politicians have called on An Post, Irelands postal service, to explain their decision to launch a 1 stamp featuring a portrait of Che Guevara by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick.
Ninoska Perez Castellón, a prominent member of the Cuban exile community in Miami and radio host, told RTEs "Morning Ireland" show, the stamp honoring Che Guevara would celebrate a man who slaughtered so many people.
An Posts plan was announced on Friday to coincide with Mondays 50th anniversary of Che Guevaras execution (October 9).
Castellón, who works at Miami 710 Radio, said regardless of the fact that the stamp was an iconic image, created by an Irish artist, it represented a man who went to Cuba to kill and failed in everything he did.
She added that there are many families in south Florida whose fathers were killed by Che and said his world-famous profile was propaganda myth created by communism.
While speaking with the Irish radio station it was pointed out to Castellón that the Irish American President Andrew Jacksons image had been used on the $20 bill in the USA despite his controversial history. She pointed out that Jackson, also of Irish descent, had not been a terrorist.

You mean the Central Powers. The Axis was World War II.
Ain't it funny how Commies can never make up their minds as to whether they're for national sovereignty or against it?
Maybe the U.S. should come out with a General Sir John Grenfell Maxwell stamp.
He died a miserable weeping little coward. But very Brave when executing innocents or sending other men to fight. Yet pissing himself, weeping, begging for life when caught by the Bolivians. Go Bolivia!

Ouch. Some of them even conspired with the Nazis, they have been so unbounded by their hate for Britain.
Thanks for the correction.
Wonder how many today remember that the Ottoman Empire (major Islamic power) was part of the Central Powers? All present-day Islamic terrorism is revanchism over losing that empire.
probably their new 2 Euro stamp will feature Gerry Adams
Hey, I’m actually largely of Irish descent (mostly from my mother’s side), and I’m personally outraged and disappointed by their supporting that psychopathic mass murderer myself. And for the record, I actually voted for Donald Trump (and he wasn’t even my first choice in that election, either: That was Ben Carson). I wish you don’t paint those of us of Irish descent as being bad news. I can also name a few Irish Catholics who would be aghast with Che being supported, or the whole Roe v. Wade thing.
I’m of total Irish descent. My problems are with the Irish themselves mostly.
And I can tell you, I know a few Irish people who immigrated here to America who definitely have no kind words for our liberal politicians or any leftist demagogues (like Hugh Marron, the current Monsignor of All Saints Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Atlanta).
I’m reluctant to bash the Irish mostly because I’m unwilling to attack fellow Catholics, and for the record, I hate what Pope Francis is doing to the Church.
