Of course they are. But he was obviously brilliant and had a high rate of success against the odds. However, the casinos didnt ban him (as they might have done with others) because he was a big, consistent gambler who brought in others through his success. Thats why they were always comping him - he was sort of like advertisement.
His winnings have been supported by tax and casino records. His income was legitimate...its what he did with it and where he sent it that needs to be looked at.
