Frank Sinatra told Donald Trump to 'go f*** himself' after the business mogul complained that he was paying too much to feature the singer at the opening of his Atlantic City casino, according to a new book.
In 'The Way it Was', due to be released on October 24, Elie Weisman, who managed the Chairman of the Board from 1975 to 1998, recounted the incident, which occurred 1990.
Sinatra had planned to perform at the opening of Trump's Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, along with fellow Rat Pack member Sammy Davis Jr and vocal duet Steve and Eydie, reported the New York Daily News.

Yeah they ran women together. But Sinatra went republican when Kennedy cancelled a trip to his Palm Springs house, after he added a wing just for JFK. The WH staff told JFK not to go.
Do you get elvis and the beatles, then in the 30s and 40s that was sinatra.?
sounds like Trumps manager made the deal and then Trump found out.
That is the big revelation, Trump offered one thing and Sinatra wanted something else, they could no come to terms and that was it. Man this stuff happens every day in show biz. Big Wow!!!!!!!!!!
Sinatra was always telling people to f themselves from what I understand! So what?!
Sinatra over-hyped. LOL
Yeah, Frank was a real peach.

Rickels always made fun that he was sacred of Sinatra because of the gumbahs. He tells this story.
Rickels out with a lovely woman and sinatra is in the restaurant. Rickles goes over to Frank and says, would you mind stopping by the table to say hello when you leave to impress my date.
Sinatar stops by.
Rickles says loudly, Frank why are you interrupting me when I’m here with my lovely date. please go away.
My mom liked Tony Bennett WAY more than Sinatra, and as a result, so do I.
That just goes to show you that the friendship wasn't real. It was only established for what each party could do for the other. Such shallow people.
I disagreee. Sinatra did a lot for the democrats and he was alive in the party. His relationship with JFK was not just pimp and friend. He thought and was loyal, but JFK betrayed that on the advice of his staff. Sinatra was not shallow, he was being loyal.
If I remember correctly, Sinatra pulled out but Michael Jackson was the replacement. And I think Trump and Jackson were friends.
Yeah, a real tough guy.
I think you remember correctly. He tried to keep singing well past when he should have retired. I was lucky enough to hear him live with a big band in the early eighties, when his voice had mellowed but not yet lost its timbre. His voice perfectly complemented the music, as if it was one more instrument in the orchestra. Never heard anything quite like that before or since. On the other hand, he was born and raised a punk and never lost that aspect of his personality.
One of Frank’s long-time valets wrote a book. The valet loved his job-—got to go places and do things w/ the mega-star.
On his night off, the valet dropped in at the local disco.....big at that time.....a hangout for the entertainment industry.
Frank’s ex Mia Farrow asked the valet to dance. ...word got back to Frank. He was incensed thinking the valet was making time w/ Mia.
By the time the valet got back to Frank’s house the locks had been changed and his things were packed up and left on the back stoop.
Frank never confronted him-—just threw the valet out into the street.
Sinatra was a lifelong democrat before he voted for Reagan. He was also close friends with JFK.
...
Reagan was a Democrat for decades who admired FDR and quoted JFK.
I heard him tell that story on the Tonight Show. Exact words were “Hey, Frank, I’m trying to eat here”. Absolutely hilarious.
How is getting miffed, and changing political parties because the President decided not to come to stay in the new wing in your house...being loyal? Friends don't let things like that affect their relationships, nor cause them to change political alliances.
(didn’t know Eydie was spelled that way)!
Sinatra himself was moribund.
I attended a live Sinatra performance exactly once in my life to see what the excitement was all about. It was early to mid 70s. Same old tired stuff; it was Northshore Lake Tahoe and Charlie Pride opened for him.
I remember, and enjoyed, almost everything Charlie sang; the "chairman," not so much.
