Favorable ratings for the NFL have dropped from 57 percent to 44 percent from the end of August to the end of September Meanwhile, the unfavorable rating for the league is the highest among any big sport - 40 percent - according to the Winston Group survey In August and September, baseball had the highest favorable rating than any other sport at 63 and 65 percent The National Anthem protest along with criticism from Trump has caused core fans, men aged 34-54, to turn their attention elsewhere Donald Trump predicted on September 27 that the National Football League will 'go to hell' if they don't listen to his demand for a ban on protests Some fans are protesting out of disgust for the protest started by Colin Kaepernick in response to police brutality against Black people, last year Others are protesting because the player hasn't been signed to a team yet

NFL....wife beaters, rapists, child molesters, muslims and registered Democrats.

Sounds like Hedley Lamar's list of thugs in Blazing Saddles:

I want rustlers, cutthroats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, half-wits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwackers, hornswagglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass kickers, **** kickers and Methodists!

Are there any Methodists in the NFL? Because I think they have the rest.

The NFL will remain oblivious to what is happening until they fully collapse.

They are like Hitler in his bunker.

It will slowly collapse as they have lost the core of their viewers.

And those ratings are going down.

Bring back the televised “Pop Warner” football games !!!
A few decades back the NFL players went on strike. The TV stations started broadcasting the Pop Warner kids league.
When the NFL players ended their strike, an awful lot of people resisted going back and stopping the broadcasts of the kids games.
Kids games are great. They just understand the rules. They make lots of unexpected plays. They occasionally cheat.
It’s just great and fun.

I stopped watching the gaudy spectacle that the NFL has become long before the flag protest. Grew tired of watching silly player antics, childish prima donnas, and the endless stream of advertisements and commercialization. It became unwatchable. I don’t miss it at all.

Viewers per game is lower, but baseball teams play 10 times as many games. Few people have time to watch more than a fraction of the games. Even the playoffs and championship are more drawn out. NFL strategy is to make every game an event.

In Chicago, football is the Bears. But I discover that here in GA, football is the SEC.

So how does attendance and TV eyeballs compare between SEC and NFL 2015, 2016, 2017?

Doritos taste like cardboard.

...And Doritos is a Pepsico brand whose CEO is still for some reason Indra Nooyi.

For what it’s worth, before the StL Cardinals’ last home game, a player stepped up to the foul line in front of the dugout at attention with his hand and ball cap over his heart. He stood there for at least a half hour. Players came out and draped him in a St Louis police vest, shaded him with an umbrella, etc. A TV camera showed him on the big screen. After about 10 minutes a player from the Brewers did the same thing on their side of the field. When the pitcher was ready to throw the first pitch, they both went back into their dugouts. I’ve seen no mention of this in the news.

Maybe baseball wants to stay being “America’s pass time”.

In all honesty, there hasn’t been a single football game as exciting as last year’s Game 7 of the World Series or even last night’s Game 2 of the ALDS.

Now if only Major LEague Baseball was run by someone who wasn’t a mental retard they would have had last nights game on a major network and not some lame MLB cable channel that no one gets or even TBS that only serves the cable market.

ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX over the air Broadcast should be the ONLY form of telecast the MLB allows for post season. They are stunting the growth of their brand by burying play off baseball on unwatched and unwatchable networks.

Somewhere in the audio background I imagine hearing a female voice practicing. It is not yet the time but the grand poobahs with their taxpayer subsidized facilities are wondering wtfh and how can it be fixed.

NOT wishing them any kind of good luck, nope not at all!
