NFL advertisers are 'nervous' amid protests, ratings dip
Yahoo Finance ^ | Oct 6, 2017 | Danial Roberts

Four weeks into the current NFL season television ratings are down nearly 10% overall compared to the first four weeks of last season. Sunday’s games in Week 4, according to Nielsen, had the smallest audience of any season so far: an average 14.2 million viewers.

Add that ratings dip to the ongoing controversy around player protests, and you might reasonably wonder how official NFL sponsors, as well as brands that buy advertising during NFL games, feel right now about the league. The answer: “They’re nervous,” says Brian Cristiano, CEO of ad agency Bold Worldwide. “Everyone is looking at the numbers, they’re looking at the ratings… they’re nervous. They’re like, ‘Are we overpaying? What are we going to do? Can we have makeups? How else are we going to get this exposure back?'” ...

The NFL has gone full Soros.
There are others sports and events for advertising dollars.

Who really cares the game are completely predictable and boring. 4 or 5 very large fast men try to get to qb..5 mammotb semi-sumos stand in way for 3 or 4 seconds..tall or quick men run downfield protected for 5 yards...either a dump pass or a long pass where defense goofed up or pass interference..repeat...repeat...touchdown or punt...repeat...commercial...commercial....
repeat...play review...repeat..then 1/3 of teams still in playoff...so what...last team with ball wins.

55-51.....

>>BEYOND. ALL. REASON. I want them all financially RUINED. I want their wives to run off with the Pool Boy! I want their children living under bridges and eating in Soup Kitchens and their pets in the pound! I want them STRIPPED of EVERY human luxury imaginable. I want their names dragged through the MUD.<<

Omigod! I loved this rant. It puts to words exactly what I think about the NFL and every other evil minion of the Left. Delicious. I think I’ll stitch that on a nice sample for my wall.

Why don’t they just get a court order that requires every able-bodied white man to watch at least 2 NFL games per week?

On a Sunday there isn’t anything on BUT football. I don’t watch it but it’s a bombardment of the NFL on Sunday in particular.

Anheuser Busch is dead to me too.
They should have pulled the ads sooner.
They obvious support the hate America group.
Will never drink another Anheuser Busch product.

“Nervous”, eh? Right, “nervous” like somebody on their way to the gallows. Before this whole NFL-kneelers thing exploded, there were already reports (quickly squashed, of course) of board meetings degenerating into yelling matches over the NFL’s declining viewership and their refusal to even acknowledge it. Think it’s gotten better since the 2017 pre-season games? Yeah, and I have a bridge and adjoining police station I’d like to sell you.
