This you tube site offers a number of items. You might plan to do some panning for gold and lucky enough to find a nugget
This was found by using the ROKU - you tube search, and entering the words "movi oz" which was fed through Roku.
Also on YOU TUBE is this channel PLUTO TV
PLUTO TV which is found on ROKU.
I tried the pluto tv, there is no Fox News or regular network tv channels.
Later
There are some who might consider that as a positive.
For the record, there were no specific networks mentioned above. There are networks just as there are movies. A good many of them when one has access to Roku and computer. The option is yours. If anything is seen which might turn your crank, subscribe. If not, trash the info
bkmk
Kodi....Specto....Exodus, Genesis Reborn.
DITTO!!!
Bkmk.
Thanks.
Fox news is not that important for me anymore?
As a sports fan, I picked up Sling TV not long after it came out because it offered live sports for about half what a cable tv subscription cost. They were the first to offer ESPN as a streaming channel and added their family of sports channels. Then Sling TV added the Fox sports family as part of their “blue” package and you could get either “orange” (the ESPN/Disney channels) or “blue” (the Fox/NBC/Comcast channels).
I asked them why I couldn’t just pay to have both? Soon they were offering both for $45/mo.
As any successful entity, Sling now has competitors. DirecTV Now, YouTube TV, the new Hulu TV all stream and all have their plusses and minuses.
But I decided to switch to Playstation Vue which (for $54.99/mo) offers a robust lineup of sports channels including ESPN, Fox Sports, Comcast, NBC, CBS Sports Channel, NFL, NBA and MLB Networks, Big Ten, Pac 12, SEC,Longhorn Network and a few other channels Sling had yet to offer.
This lineup also offers a channel called “Decades” which is like a pop version of what the History Channel used to be. There’s also Turner Classic Movies, as good as ever.
So if you want the regular tv drek, you can have pretty much all you want (minus the “premiums” like HBO and Showtime which can be added if you want them) or you can check out channels like Decades, Discover America and TCM for your dose of nostalgia.
Now, Playstation Vue streams through Roku so you no longer need the game machine. You can also watch through smartphone apps or your pc, laptop or notepad.
BTW, Roku fans might enjoy a free channel called “Aerial” which shows these floating overhead scenes over New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hawaii and numerous foreign locations which are like floating in a balloon over these areas. I understand these were once Apple screensavers but I found out about them while in my doctor’s waiting room. Very peaceful and relaxing unless you have a fear of heights.
Decades channel does have some good programs. The bit of history presented from time to time is always enjoyed.
This particular programming is carried OTA waves on our local channel 11-2 sub-station
Re the sport channels you follow. Will you continue to follow the NFL?
Will I continue to follow the NFL? I paid in August for Game Pass because I work Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays so I can almost never see a game live. So, yes, I do watch but it won’t show up in the Neilsens nor do I see any ads because I watch condensed games on tape delay. As for interest, my teams haven’t been among the ones causing the headlines so I am willing to let it pass for the time being. However, I’m happy about the lower ratings and smaller turnouts. NFL has acted too big for their britches the past 20-30 years and need a comeuppance. So, strike on.
Only curious. Football = take it or leave it. IF our local team happens to play in a big game, might watch. However most games are virtually ignored in this household. Until they have fired the ending shot and the scores are announced. Would we actually pay to see one? No, can’t say that we would. Most sports are better left unseen.
Last week Panthers(my ex-team) played the Patriots(my most hated team). Not only did I not watch, heard the next day the Panthers won. But I couldn't tell you the score.
And you know what? I didn't miss it.!
How does it work? Is it free?
