This “altitude” can be changed easily by selecting “earth” and then a “Height” value.

Hitting “earth” again closes the menu.

How the HECK are, ‘my’ Hummingbirds going to get to their Winter Quarters in Costa Rica this year? They left two weeks ago. :(

I think they're laying over down here in S. MS - been seeing more than expected at the feeders for this time of year.

Goodness, when my beauties leave about the 2nd week of September, I always worry about them all during any hurricane season.

The past several years have been reduced to worthless worry. This season is quite remarkable.

Saw some down here starting the week after Katrina - they seem to have some remarkable survival skills....small and wiry - very tough. I guess all the feeder battles keep them in shape....

Glad you’ve got a good population of Monarchs. Don’t hate me, but I killed a good DOZEN of the Tomato Hornworms this season - they turn into the Hummingbird Moths later in their life cycle. There is no, ‘Hornworm Re-Location Program’ in Wisconsin, LOL!

I’m sorry, it was them or my beloved tomatoes, and the tomatoes won!

One of the Hornworms was 6” long, and fat as a Cuban cigar. YUCK! We only get them once in very wet Spring seasons up here - and we had an exceptionally wet Spring this time around.

I didn't know that about Hornworms. They're a problem on my tomatoes too.

Kill every one you come across! They. Are. Evil. I won’t even post a pix. I HATE THEM that much! ;)

I'll do it - you remind me of my wife - she makes sure to put out extra feeders and changes the liquid nourishment often to be sure it's fresh. She also puts out a LOT of bird seed in the back area where the birds and squirrels and possums (and occasional deer) congregate. Hardly ever gets half eaten but she replenishes it with more excess each morning. Also cleans out the bird baths and freshens the water at least once a day. And this is in S. MS where an animal would have to be blind/deaf/ignorant to go hungry or thirsty.

It's one of the things I love about her.
