CHICAGO (CBS) — An Elgin school district board member has apologized to fellow board members, after creating a firestorm of criticism when she wrote on Facebook that the American flag “means nothing more than toilet paper to me.”
Last month, Elgin Area School District U-46 board member Traci O’Neal Ellis wrote on Facebook wrote a Facebook post supporting NFL players who chose to kneel during the national anthem.
In her post, Ellis wrote the flag “means nothing more than toilet paper to me.” At the district’s board meeting Monday night, she stood by her original comments, but apologized for the “distraction” her words caused.
“I make no apologies for my comment about the flag. I made them as a private citizen, and taxpayer in this country, on my personal Facebook page, about a matter of import in the current national discourse, and based upon my personal lived experiences,” she said. “However, I could have been much more circumspect in my criticism and more elegant in my language. Please accept my apology for this.”

Elgin Area School District U-46 board member Traci O’Neal Ellis should be announced wherever she goes, as that woman had to walk through the town, in Game of Thrones, and be flung with “*****” from every disabled veteran in town!!!

Trust me on this.. this communist and the word “elegant” will NEVER be confused, nor remotely related.
Everyone knows there are a huge number of Leftists in Chicago, but they are coming out of the wood work, without hesitation, to show their true colors.

A non apology “Apology”
It’s the way liberal blacks think: This isn’t their country and so the flag is to be disrespected.
These racist blacks have no idea what country they do want if we were to magically remove the USA from existence, they are just primal savages that only seek to destroy things and not build them.
