Las Vegas shooter: Most likely motive at this point (Vanity)
10-03-2017

I have no special knowledge, just have been observing this event from different angles and points of view as all of you have. Listened to Scott Adams analysis quite a bit. Much is unknown and I am only about 70-75% sure about this.

1) Find the woman who got into the front row at the concert and said "You're all gonna die tonight" 45 minutes before the shooting started. Find the security people that took her and a friend away..

Has that been proven to be a fact ?

Any attendees confirming it ?

I haven’t read all comments yet, but has there been any news about the woman who said a woman was evicted from the concert for telling people they were going to die today? I heard nothing about it on Fox News yesterday. Since they evicted her, you know they’ve got paperwork.

“Something has changed in our society, and I don’t just mean with the left. It’s like we can’t ascertain normal anymore? What is going on. Brainwashing?”

Yes, that’s exactly what political correctness is - brainwashing. We need language to form concepts and thoughts, and the language is being altered by the left.

Many words and ideas are being flagged as bad or unspeakable. Especially targeted are words and phrases that provide us with the tools and vocabulary to perform critical thinking.

Judgement, discrimination, preference, criticism, evaluation, comparison, logic, assumption, generalization, differentiation, rationalization - these are all part of thinking but are now poisoned with pejorative connotations.

Like you said, were not allowed to say something is normal or abnormal, good vs. bad.

Think of the uproar for example if a study was done in 2017 comparing the average IQ of different races, or the two sexes? It stands to reason that some races have to be smarter than others, and that one gender, on average, has to be smarter than the other. I mean, it would be a hell of a coincidence if it came out exactly even.

Yet, the snowflakes of today - if they they heard any generalization about the average [______] being smarter than the average [_____] - they would fly off the handle. They are very anti science.

In the past, during our evolution, our survival depended on our ability to differentiate friend from foe, using our five senses to compare appearances, sounds, etc. with our experiences and the experiences of our elders - and making judgments with whatever imperfect information is available.

Now such behavior is evil. It’s evil to make a judgement about anyone. Evil
To use our survival tools? This is crazy. We’re being brainwashed. It’s worse than revoking the 2nd amendment. Worse than taking our physical weapons - they are trying to take away our ability to think straight.

You are right that it’s not just the left being brainwashed. More likely it’s the right more than the left. Afterall, the right is the logical target of the brainwashing.

This is why what Trump is doing is so important - he’s attacking the MSM - the official propaganda ministry of the DNC.

I believe Trump got elected in large part because he said politically incorrect things, which signaled that he is willing to fight back against the the brainwashing.

There are still a bunch of us out here that are resistant to brainwashing.

When we heard Trump say Megyn Kelly was bleeding from wherever and call the press disgusting, call Hillary a crook, and even argue with the Pope - we knew we had to have him as POTUS.

I think the guy's a left-wing anti-Trump type.

I also think it will come out, but the FBI (with the, finally as of 4 days ago, Trump person in charge) is simply getting ALL the evidence together before they make the motive public.

Unlike previous cases where the Feds tried to set the narrative starting day one, they are now waiting and keeping quiet until they can present the whole thing as a package. This is refreshing to see... a more professional approach for a change.

We'll see how it shapes up in a few more days.

My most plausible theory: This guy is a left-wing nutcase who flipped out.

My most plausible conspiracy theory: Democrats manipulated this guy into the mass shooting to change a narrative that they are losing, just as they said on Project Veritas video that they manipulate crazy people at Trump rallies. [Unlikely, but it’s more likely than anything else other than a nutcase flipping out.]

This is where I'm leaning as well.

I don't believe he was radicalized by ISIS at age 64.
I don't believe he's AntiFa.
I don't believe he's the pink pussyhat wearing protestor at the rally in Reno that's been making the rounds.

I believe he's a wealthy, angry misanthrope who has women troubles and drinks too much, hates Trump but probably didn't even bother to vote, and has been "radicalized" by CNN. At some point he "flipped out" and planned this elaborate Vegas bloodbath/suicide.

No doubt about it, much planning was involved.

Yesterday I was of the opinion that ideology wasn't involved. Paddock was just an angry, crazy man. Since then, I watched a video by Scott (Dilbert) Adams, a man I respect, who painted a pretty compelling case that the crowd he targeted; young, white, country music fans, was no accident and this guy was deliberately out to harm people who voted for Trump.

1 - His target. A country concert filled with mostly White, Conservative, Trump supporters. (God Bless America was sung less than an hour before the attack at the venue. That only happens at Conservative events).

Maybe, but it could have just been the only large crowd he could see from his hotel window. It's possible for an obsessed gambler spending so much time in the artificial 24/7 environment to totally lose touch with the political and cultural categories that obsess the Internet.

Sometimes, like with Columbine or Aurora or Tucson or Newtown or Virginia Tech it's not about politics -- or it can only be made to be about politics by distorting what happened.

Tagline: "Every gambler knows how a person may sit a day and a night at cards without ever casting a glance to right or to left.+ -- Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Gambler

3 - The bizarre interviews his bizarre brother has been giving. Anyone who watches and studies them comes away with the feeling that something is off about him and what he is saying about his brother. He is hiding something.

Something is "hidden," but maybe it's something he doesn't know or can't put his finger on or doesn't know how to express. Some people give off a weirdness vibe, but you can't quite say just what's wrong. Some things happen in families that you don't like to talk about. Afterwards, you can say that it was a sign, but it wasn't apparent at the time, and you don't feel comfortable telling strangers about it. The interview with the brother was certainly unorthodox, but on a day when everything is strange and unexpected, I can't jump to conclusions about the guy.

4 - His "friend/girlfriend/whatever" is the ex-wife of an virulent, anti-Trump, Maddow loving, Leftist wingnut. Unlikely she would go from that to anything to the Right of that, even a to a moderate.

Again, you're assuming it's about political categories, but those may not have been involved in her relationship with Paddock. Maybe not even in her relationship with Danley.

Wait for the autopsy. Also medical and prescription records.

If it comes back "brain tumor" or "glioblastoma," like with the Austin tower shooter 50 years back, there's your motive.

If there are signs of bipolarity or schizophrenia that may help solve the puzzle -- though I don't know if those would turn up in an autopsy.

Of course, those who really want to believe in conspiracies know that the easiest way to discredit conspiracy theories is by making the perp sick or crazy, so maybe further revelations won't change anything.

You are correct. There is some info available, enough to make some guesses, but not enough to make any firm judgements about the event.

Very interesting ideas. This man has an astounding personal history. His last formal employment was in 1988, since then he has moved around becoming ever more wealthy.
