Off topic yet this morning I was at a friend's place and they showed me the new episode of "Star Trek Discovery" as they still had their CBS Access on their FireTV.
Will not go into plot or spoilers but I can say without doubt this is not "Star Trek" in any form or fashion! And it is really bad science fiction.
And, my friend agreed and cancelled their subscription to CBS Access before my eyes. I got to buy her something nice to wear.

I gave a long synopsis of episode 3 somewhere,
Bottom line after seeing ep 4 I’d say is that the show is trying way too hard to be “sophisticated” or something, and they end up serving us cheap off-brand caviar when the audience would prefer a good hamburger.
