Seems risky, undescended testicles have a significant risk of developing cancer. Surgically causing undescended testicles may be leaving the surgeon open to litigation.
Everything connected to SRS seems risky to me.
IMO it would be better to simply perform bilateral orchiectomy after saving some sperm for possible use later.
Then if the surgery were reversed you would simply need testosterone replacement and prosthetic testis.
Not perfect but I suppose a lot better than not being able to do an acceptable reversal.
