Is college football trying to be turned off at most homes like the NFL?
Well, if the game appears on ESPN, ABC or the SEC Network, all Disney networks, they're off at my house. They can thank ESPN for that!
Mizzou two years ago had the football team threaten to “strike” over some (fake) campus race nonsense.
The university president didn’t bow to demands fast enough. He backed out as the students surrounded his car and almost backed into some idiot.
The football players threatened to not play unless the president of the university was fired. The coaches backed the players. The entire system gave in and fired the president.
But all the cries of racism were heard and black student population went down from 10 to 6 percent. Parents saw the chaos and kept their kids away from PCU. The freshman class went down 35% and half a dozen dorms have been closed.
Oh, and the football team? Completely terrible and more than half empty stands every Saturday night now.
The lesson should be learned by the NFL. The money / boosters / ticket buyers / fan gear buyers are Trump-voting conservative whites. Mess them over by letting the crazies run the nuthouse and you’ll pay the price.
