My kid won 3 goldfish at the fair. We got them out of the bags and into the bowl. On day 1, first goldfish dead. On day 2, second goldfish dead. For the next month, the last goldfish started to grow. We took it out of the small bowl and put it into a larger bowl. A few weeks later it went into a larger bowl and we added a catfish to eat the goldfish crap. Eventually we had to buy a tank for 1 goldfish and 1 catfish.

The fish (named Dorothy) lived for a few of years. When it looked sick (it had something called ick) I asked a friend who had fish what to do. He told me there are a bunch of remedies, but he suggested aspirin. So I put aspirin in the tank. Fish gets better. I get a couple of new fish to go with the goldfish, as well as another catfish. Within a week everything is dead except Dorothy and the original catfish.

I wake up one morning and see Dorothy laying on its side, floating around the tank. It’s dead. I’m ready to flush it, but instead run cold water through its gills out of curiosity. My wife looks at me and asks me what the heck I’m doing. I give a muhahahahaha and say I am bringing the dead fish back to life. She shakes her head and says “grow up.” The fish starts moving. We both freak out.

I put Dorothy back in the tank to see what happens next. The fish lived another two years.
