CNN)Returning from a high-dollar fundraiser in Manhattan on Tuesday evening, an infuriated President Donald Trump watched aboard Air Force One as Fox News called the Alabama Senate primary for Roy Moore against Trump's favored candidate, Luther Strange. What ensued was a barrage of angry venting at his political team and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had consolidated establishment GOP support behind Strange.
Trump, officials and informal advisers say, felt misled by McConnell and his political team, who encouraged him to endorse and campaign for Strange.

Most freepers would give better advice then anyone from the swamp. We were all puzzled as to why he backed Strange, but he may have had a good reason. Waste of Republican $$$.
The story is that Alabama voters don't trust McConnell and Strange on their word, and Moore is actively in the face of Leftist Progs, he is willing and has fought for traditional American citizens.

CNN (Constant Nattering Nabobs) notwithstanding (obviously never to be trusted to tell it straight), NO REPUB should EVER endorse in primaries. Let those chips fall where they may. “The wrong will fail, the right prevail”, to quote Longfellow. Then endorse and help and root for the eventual candidate when he or she is running in the general.
My dear Sarah Palin made this faux pas when mclame was running vs. JD Hayworth; now my beloved Trump does it in Bama. It is a useless endeavor which can and does backfire.

As bad as McConnell is, how is this his fault. Trumo is an adult and can make his own decisions. He ran on that, so tgis is nit the time to pass the buck.

Strange is a swamp creature. I didn't get why President Trump was supporting him.
