The "eye job"--designed to remove the eye fold , after a few years makes the eye look not only sunken but oddly tiny. Check out Mike Pence. Too much eye job. I have less trust for a man who has obvious plastic surgery.
The actual face lifts throw the nose into abrupt prominence, necessitating a nose job. The injections freeze the face into expressionless immobility--think our little venomous sweetheart, Dana Perino.

I agree. Women think plastic surgery to overcome facial aging gives them a way out of the age-old dilemma, “face or figure”, but it doesn’t, because, as you say, it merely either leads to, or throws into prominence, other problems (I can’t count the times I’ve seen obvious facelifts above aging necks, or sinewy arms).
I noticed that about Laura too, I didn’t recognize her at first when I saw her recently on Fox. There is such a drive to try to hold on to youth and beauty, when in reality we can’t. I agree with your conclusion.
