Warmbier’s roommate for entire tour said he and Otto were inseparable. He said he saw ZERO evidence that Warmbier ever went anywhere he shouldn’t have, and ZERO evidence that he stole a poster.
You do not know more about it than Warmbier’s ubiquitous travel companion.
I cannot imagine the horrible pain the parents must be feeling. God please comfort them.
His suffering must have been beyond any of our imaginations. God Bless his soul.
Kids are taught that we are the bad guys. Other countries are victims of us. This is why the flag and national pride matter.
Our state of mind, whether we are shocked or not, is completely irrelevant when we encounter North Korea’s criminal activity. It is pointless and unnecessary to even consider whether we are shocked or not, indeed it is shocking but whatever our feelings and emotions or lack of them, it is only important to stop that criminal activity. To me, your comments are pointless and unnecessary; to me, they are not reasonable and contribute nothing, why would you even make them? Are you just some sort of ivory tower academic dressing up this horror with distant and clinical language, because you wish our nation’s leadership to maintain the status quo of appeasing do-nothingism?
Not yet, but the Lord Jesus, Warrior King and Almighty Judge sure will do something about it. Think of it, eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, for eternity.
In school he was taught to stay away from places like Alabama and Mississippi where white rednecks wave confederate flags. Nobody ever taught him about North Korea.
If I traveled to the jungles deep in Papua New Guinea where I was captured and eaten by cannibals, would people say I didn't deserve to be eaten by cannibals or would they say, "Maybe he shouldn't have traveled to the jungles of Papua New Guinea?"

The accounts I read never questioned that Warmbier had rippled a banner off a hotel balcony as a souvenir.
Maybe that’s because of his confession, which was obtained... by North Korean police.
A nightmare. God help Otto s family and all who suffer in that blighted country.
If they would do this to a foreigner, imagine what they do to their own citizens. Shivers....

Well, it’s probably a good thing I really don’t care what you think of my comments. We are going to have to agree to disagree on the matter. My comments are pertinent, becasue the outcome of this event, the young man’s death, is a result of a national psychosis a large swath of the US population suffers from. Explain to me exactly how, as a nation, we are supposed to curtail NKs activities if half the country hasn’t got an f’ing clue as to exactly how much certain actors hate us on an international scale, as well a within certain segments of our own population? You can sit snugly behind your KB and rage against what I posted, it still won’t change the fact that a WHOLE lot of dumba$$e$ in this country, many of them in positions of power and influence, will put themselves, and our country in peril because they think that bad stuff won’t happen to them when they put themselves in positions where it is almost guaranteed to happen.
