FULL TITLE: Straight shooters: Entire Cowboys team - including owner Jerry Jones - takes a knee PRIOR to the National Anthem to boos before standing and linking their arms during Star Spangled Banner
Before playing the Arizona Cardinals, the Dallas Cowboys came onto the field with locked arms and knelt for a few seconds before singing the national anthem.
The team's owner, Jerry Jones, joined the team in their seeming display of solidarity with other team members who have knelt or sat during the national anthem. Coach Jason Garrett also joined.
Jones, 74, in the past has criticized NFL players who do so. The team's action prompted some booing from spectators.

THIS IS GETTING MORE THAN SILLY!!!!!!!
Nfl games are now vulnerable to terrorist attacks because the nfl has insulted both the police and the military.
The police and military have no more reason to defend these ingrates.
For your own safety, stay away from nfl games.
LOL!
You put your right foot in
You take your right foot out
You put your right foot in
And you shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That’s what it’s all about
I read that Colin K’s girlfriend is BLM and she ruined the career of her last boyfriend.
IMO the whole BLM is communist/Soros/Obama propaganda. It’s based on distortions and outright lies to drive a giant wedge through this country...which is what community organizers do.
What I can’t figure out is why these players aren’t grateful they’re here playing a game for the NFL and making a fortune. It could be a whole lot worse...speaking of equality...they could be like most of us scrambling to make it in an economy that has been screwed up by the elite.
.
They wanted it both ways — they figure they can placate the BLM/ANTIFA/MEDIA/TRAITOR crowd with the images of them kneeling — and they’re right about the liberal media only showing them kneeling.
But under criticism from their fan base they’ll say they all stood and locked arms, showing unity and respect for the anthem.
So either way, they can rewrite the history of their participation.
Not one to be racist, the whole bunch of overpaid turds have flushed their careers as far as I am concerned.
This looked like an idea that came out of a comittee. Probably even focus-group tested.
At least during the kneel-down Garrett looked like he was praying.
Jones, on the other hand, just had a wide grin that seemed to exude the 'thought-balloon': I'm a fricken genius for having come up with this thread the needle idea'....
A pox on all the NFL houses.
I think taking a knee BEFORE the anthem and standing DURING the anthem is not disrespecting the flag or nation. Seems like a good compromise for feeling there are problems but still honoring and respecting the flag.
We pay a lot of money for their damn cable TV and their stadiums.
What do you even mean by this?
Can’t you read the inscription?
... well, I might suppose that you can! ... except there are obstacles!
Dallas Cowboys are the “Knights Who Say Knee!” They must be appeased; send Jerry Jones a shrubbery!
They spit on America and their now ex-fans. Standing or kneeling, that arm lock is so they can’t put their hands on their hearts. Screw them.
Agree.
JJ just found a way to have his cake and eat it too
Faggotty...
Really? What idea are they showing "unity" for when they take a knee? Please give me an outline. Should we all join the SJW's for a mandatory moment every time the anthem is about to be played? In the interest of "balance" of course?
I hope they keep shooting themselves in the head. I know a lot of so-called good conservatives who have not gotten the memo yet or who are still in denial about the situation.
Many people watch sports to escape from day-to-day problems, not to have them gratuitously shoved in their faces. If the NFL now means I have to watch a bunch of whiners of whom I get a belly full enough already all week long, then I pass take a knee.
That’s what I’ve tried to explain to people on both sides of using sports/entertainment for political posturing. I watch sports to escape the day-to-day things, including politics. When it’s not fun or a form of escapism, then it’s lost it’s appeal for me.
We should just get JJ Abrams to rewrite the anthem. </southpark reference>
