Any guess as to how the payouts (if the lawsuit is successful) would compare to what the defendants are losing anyway just because of the bad PR they are generating for themselves?

Like most Class Actions, case will never go to trial. League, and especially team owners will start screaming to their lawyers “Make this go away!”

This doesn’t pass the laugh test. You can’t sue someone for exercising their free speech rights in a disgusting and offensive manner. As long as the NFL chooses to allow it there is little anyone can do beyond what I have... namely stop watching football. There is no explicit or implicit guarantee in season ticket contracts that protects your happiness or emotional well being. Frankly this sounds like the kind of crap I expect from left-wing snowflakes.
