Yup....President is the best, but he totally misfired on this issue. He is going to learn that he NEVER should have tried to put himself between players on a football team. A football team is a family, especially successful ones, and they will stick together through thick and thin. They have to to be able to get through a 16 game season and make the playoffs.
As much as I support President Trump, I have to wonder what he was thinking. He always seems to do something like this after he has a successful few weeks and his poll numbers are rising. He gets all full of himself and blows any good will he accumulated. Really a shame; he had everyone in the world getting behind him; he was doing well in the US; and them he has a brain explosion.
This issue with kneeling and such would have run it’s course; now you gave new life to it.
Sorry President Trump, I’m not going to stop watching football. Stay busy on the stuff that really matters to us and leave the NFL to itself.
BTW...anybody who didn’t watch NFL today and missed the Texan-Patriot game missed one of the best shoot-out games ever between a rookie QB(Deshaun Watson) and a 41 year old legend(Tom Brady). Almost a shame one team had to lose. Ten years from now when QB Deshaun Watson has won his second Super Bowl, you could have said you saw his breakout game.
I see something like this - tweets and comments on the NFL, stirring up controversy and grabbing attention and immediately wonder what’s happening elsewhere.
Suddenly everyone’s attention is on the NFL, not Korea or hurricanes or Iran or Syria or the travel ban ending or taxes or Obamacare. I think something is happening under the radar. JMO

The NFL would like nothing better than for it to run its course, fade away, etc, but that accomplishes nothing but kicking the can down the road. Hey Congress is good at doing that too.

At least not to Americans, on American soil.
