Tickets at some recent games could be had for $6, less than the price of a movie ticket in LA at $8 and change.
And that huge stupid Pepsi logo that looks like the descending sweep of one of those decapitation swords they use over in Saudi Arabia.
To me the first pic looks like about 25% of the seats are occupied, the second looks like maybe 50%, max.
I wonder how they got the people to stay up in the nosebleed seats when there were plenty of seats available closer to the field.
“Its Shocking How Empty The Stadium Was For Thursday Night Football”
Yes, joyously shocking!
I love it! 20 years ago I was a knowledgeable and avid fan of both the NFL and NCAA. Now, I don’t watch 20 minutes a year, not counting the SuperBowl parties I might go to. If not a COMPLETE waste of time, at the most it is unproductive and uninteresting to me now. Others are free to disagree and spend their time on this Earth anyway they please.
So, who took a knee at the game?
Love him or hate him, Jerry Jones said he'd fire any player who disrespected the American flag.
I’m unhappy that a great American sport is failing. But I’ll be very happy to see those thugs...er, I mean players, go back to poverty once they blow all their salaries...
I ran across an article somewhere yesterday, maybe Drudge, where cable companies were anticipating losing customers by 5% every year from now on. I’m guessing that number is far too low.
Even if they relented and allowed customers a la carte programming, it may be too late. The customers have had a look outside. I cut cable many years ago now and it turned out to be something I am very grateful for having done.
Seating capacity is 68,500.
(not a recent picture)
Looking at the two pics, apparently a bunch of folks were late for the game. Not that that makes any difference.
The first pic is stunning. NFL/ESPN/player’s union/et al need to wake up. Your business plan has been smashed by a relative handful of people. Now what cha gonna do?
And yet people still chose to sit behind the end zone and in the nose bleed seats. SMH
Looks like folks are voting with their feet and wallets.....
Anyone send this photo to Roger Goodell?
It’s not that shocking - a 5:30 pm kickoff on a Thursday night in Silicon Valley is madness. Most people with season tickets (I’m one) are either still at work or driving home from work in heavy traffic. The entire idea of Thursday night games is asinine - teams haven’t had enough time to recover from the previous Sunday and the quality of play is obviously worse. Also, because the NFL and the network want the premium games for Sunday, Thursday night gets terrible matchups like 49ers-Rams.
What’s NFL? What’s football? What’s ESPN.
Won’t watch until it becomes American again.
I didn’t bother to ask my wife to watch TNF because not even I had any interest in this stinker.
Last week at the Baltimore Raven’s home game against the Browns the stadium was almost at full capacity .
Boycott the NFL!
Good. I’m sick of the move to enforce PC.
