Forty years ago I paid more than that in today's dollars for an
average stereo system where you had to put black disks on a spindle and degrade them every time you played them.
Even the iPhone X is a bargain by comparison. For less money, it has 1000x the functionality in a 1000x smaller package using 10x less power.
People today are tech-spoiled.
Back in the late 1980s one of the things you heard a lot about advances in technology was that a kid's computer game had more computing power than the Apollo 11 lunar lander.
Today, I think it's safe to say that your average handheld phone has more computing power than all of NASA back then.
