Torre DeRoche, 37, had always lived in dread, fearing everything from random sinkholes to global catastrophe.
Then a series of terrible things actually did happen: DeRoches father died of metastasized colon cancer in 2014, and her longtime boyfriend broke up with her at the height of her grief just months after she published a memoir of the couples happy relationship.
The devastating experiences only deepened her anxiety.

I wish that I could say that I only had a couple of tough years myself when it comes to anxiety. in my case its a complex condition that I have had all my life....call it a birth defect or congenial mental disposition if you prefer. I dont have tough years when it comes to anxiety...i have a tough life. Kind of like being dyslexic I suppose. Instead of looking at the alphabet and seeing random shapes instead of a logical system of a language. Sometimes I simply have a background feeling of fear or dread....no reason why...but its just there.
