About halfway into your second paragraph, I began to realize that you have no patience with Yehova’s word, and likely would much more enjoy being mislead in a fascinating way by a clever-by-half nicolaitan.
Daniel’s prophecy has revealed itself to believers about 2000 years ago, in the 70 week ministry of Yeshua, and The Revelation penned by John. The historic writings have much to offer the careful reader in understanding the prophetic writings.

I am familiar with the 70 week prophecy and how it turned out to be a count down to the coming of Jesus. Sir Isaac Newton got it as well in his commentaries....although I do not consider myself as good a student of prophecy as Newton. But he, at least at his time, considered there were still unanswered riddles in it. And certainly for the people who lived between 500BC and when Christ was born the prophecy may not have been plain. And I would venture to guess most saved Christians on this Earth probably don't realize the answer to this prophecy, It was not directed at the common man, but to the wise. And I am not myself wise enough to get all the prophecies in the Bible.
I actually think that thinking one can clearly understand all of prophecy clearly may have been the problem the guy in the article had. I must confess it is certainly not all plain in meaning to me...but where I am uncertain, I will admit I am uncertain and not preach a guess as if it were God's word....like the nuts that keep being wrong about the end of the world.
